Spread (softened) 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Green onions (fragmented) for embellishing
Sweet and zesty plum sauce 3/4 cup
Salt as required
For sweet and zesty plum chutney
Spread or oil 3 tbsps
Fennel seeds (saunf) 1/2 tsp
Nigella seeds (kalonji) 1/4 tsp
Red stew drops 1/2 tsp
Dark mustard seeds (rai) 1/2 tsp
Plums, (new or dried - pitted and quartered) 11/2 kg
Raisins 1/2 cup
Earthy colored sugar (modify as indicated by taste) 1/2 cup
Salt 1/4 tsp
Coconut (new or dried - cut in strips or ground) 1/4 cup
Ginger (minced) 2 tbsps
Strategy:
Start off with setting up the chutney.
Warmth margarine or oil in an enormous pot over moderate low warmth until hot.
Include fennel seeds, nigella seeds, dark mustard seeds and chillies. Fry until mustard seeds pop and turn dark.
Include the plums, raisins, sugar, salt and stew until thick for around 30 to 40 minutes.
